About the Church

Aleksoto St. Casimir Church is a Catholic church located in Kaunas, Lithuania. It was built in 1997 in a modernist style and is constructed of concrete. The old wooden church still stands nearby. The church was built on land donated in the early 20th century by local priests and has been a hub of community activities since then. Inside the modern church, there are three slender columns and trapezoidal vaulted ceilings. The presbytery is narrow and covered with a low hemispherical wooden structure. There are three altars inside the church, and it houses relics of St. Cross and St. Casimir. The church also has a painting of St. Casimir by Sofia Rickeviciute.
