About the Church
The Roman Catholic Church of St Conrad in Jaunsaule is a small shrine of the Diocese of Jelgava in the Bauska area, near the village of Jaunsaule.
The Jaunsaule parish was founded in 1937, and in the same year the Capuchins of Skaistkalne blessed the foundations of the future church. The shrine was completed and consecrated on 19 November 1947 in honour of St Conrad.
The church is built of cement bricks, without a tower. In 2020, thanks to the generous support of Viesturs Segliņš, an emigrant from this area, the shrine was carefully renovated and reconsecrated.
