About the Church
The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Olaine (Olaines Bezvainīgās Jaunavas Marijas Romas katoļu baznīca) is a Roman Catholic church in the town of Olaine, southwest of Riga, in Latvia.
The church and parish are served by the Capuchin friars, and services are held in Latvian and Polish. It is one of the newer Catholic churches in this part of Latvia, serving the local community of the faithful.
In a region where Lutheranism has historically predominated, the parish of Olaine plays an important role in sustaining Catholic spiritual and community life.
