About the Church
The Vaitimėnai Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross is a wooden church built in 1935 in Vaitimėnai village, Tauragė District Municipality. The church did not have a permanent priest, but the Šilalė Deanery assigned the priests of the Šilalė parish to serve it. The church's interior decoration and liturgical items were brought from other churches. In the bell tower hangs a small steel bell with no ornamentation. The churchyard fence is of metal netting. The church's interior is plain, modest and unpretentious.
