In case of any discrepancy, the Lithuanian version prevails.
The app has no accounts, never asks you to sign in, and does not know who you are. That is not a promise — it is a structure: there is simply nowhere to keep such a thing.
This privacy policy covers the mobile app "Parapijos" (iOS and Android), published by parapijos.lt.
What stays on the phone
Stamps, completed routes, saved churches, Bible marks and notes, prayer sessions, favourite prayers, font size, and reminder times. All of it lives on your phone only, with no copies anywhere. Deleting the app deletes all of it along with it.
What the app sends
The only thing the app ever sends is the feedback message you write — and only once you tap "Siųsti" (Send) yourself. What travels with it is exactly what you see in the form: the type, the message, your email address if you chose to give one, and a technical line if you switched that toggle on.
What the app downloads
The list of churches, diocese data, and map tiles. These are ordinary network requests: the server sees that someone asked for a file, but there is no marker identifying you attached to that request — no cookies, no device ID.
Map tiles are served by OpenStreetMap (tile.openstreetmap.org), which sees the same kind of ordinary network request as any other web server.
Location
Your location is used for two things: showing you on the map, and confirming a stamp at a church. Both times it is a one-shot request, made only when you ask for it. Location is never tracked in the background and never sent anywhere.
No analytics
No Google Analytics, no Firebase, no ad networks, no crash reporting. Nobody counts how many times you opened the rosary — not on a server, not on the phone.
Reminders
Reminders are shown by the phone itself, on times scheduled in advance — these are local notifications. No message arrives from a server, and the app does not even run in the background for this — the reminder system learns nothing about you.
Deleting your data
Everything the app holds lives on your phone. Settings has an "Ištrinti visus mano duomenis" (Delete all my data) button — it deletes stamps, completed routes, saved churches, Bible marks, highlights and notes, prayer sessions and favourite prayers, unsent feedback, and all settings. There is nothing to delete on a server, because nothing is kept there.
If you ever sent feedback together with your email address and want it removed, write to us on Facebook and we will delete it.
Contact
The app and parapijos.lt are maintained by one person. You can ask questions through the in-app form (Maldynas → Atsiliepimai / Prayer book → Feedback) or on facebook.com/parapijos.lt.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top will change with it. The substance — no accounts, no tracking — is part of the app's structure, so it is not expected to change in any fundamental way.
