About the Church
The Church of the Most Holy Trinity in Riga (Rīgas Vissvētās Trīsvienības Romas katoļu baznīca) is a modern Roman Catholic church in Riga's Purvciems microdistrict, on Augusta Deglava Street.
The church was built in 2000–2006 and is regarded as the first new Catholic church built in Riga in several decades. It was designed by a group of Latvian architects.
The interior of the modern building is adorned with an impressive altar painting created by the artist Ēriks Pudzēns and considered one of the largest in Latvia.
The Church of the Most Holy Trinity serves the Catholics of the densely populated Purvciems district and is an important centre of their spiritual and community life.
