About the Church
The Church of Jesus the Nazarene in Gegrėnai is a wooden church, built in 1754 in Gegrėnai, in the Plungė district, Lithuania. The church has an archaic style of architecture, and many of its interior elements are original. The high altar contains relics, and a statue of Jesus the Nazarene is set into a niche. The church's plan and interior space have hardly changed since it was built, and the façades are towerless, with rectangular windows. The church has been extensively renovated and is included in the sacred route of the Plungė district.
