About the Church
The Minor Basilica of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Žemaičių Kalvarija is one of the Catholic pilgrimage sites in the Diocese of Telšiai. It was built in 1822 in the Neo-Baroque style, with two towers, three naves and nine altars. The height of the church's towers reaches 56 metres. Every year one of the largest Catholic events in Lithuania takes place there – the Great Žemaičių Kalvarija Feast.
