About the Church
The Church of St Anne in Pavandenė is a wooden church, built in 1802. It is in folk architectural forms and is considered an architectural monument. Inside the church are 5 neo-Baroque altars, and the interior is painted in light shades. The church stands in the town of Pavandenė, 7.5 km north-east of Varniai. It was built by Florijonas Bogužas in 1620, and the present church of oak logs in 1802. The building is covered by an octagonal sheet-metal roof. The tower is two-tiered, octagonal, with an ornate spire, crowned by a wrought-iron cross with a weathervane depicting a trumpeting angel. In the rear part of the churchyard stands a chapel-like storehouse with a 4-column portico. The church building is distinguished by a narrow five-sided chancel with a wider triple-pitched roof forming recesses.

Bažnyčia medinė, liaudies architektūros formų, stačiakampio plano, vienabokštė. Priešais ją šventoriuje stovi medinė koplytėlė.
Pastatyta 1802 metais. Žemaičių kraštui būdingas medinės sakralinės architektūros statinys. Valstybės saugoma kultūros vertybė (unikalus objekto kodas 23658).
