About the Church
The Roman Catholic community of Sproģi is active in the settlement of Sproģi, in the Zalve civil parish, in the historic region of Selonia (Sēlija). Administratively it belongs to the Bauska Deanery of the Diocese of Jelgava.
Sproģi is a small rural settlement on the Dienvidsusėja river, on the road connecting Vecumnieki, Nereta and Subate. The local Catholic community is small and has no separate church building; the faithful are served by priests from the surrounding parishes.
