About the Church
The Raguvėlė Church of St Stephen the Deacon is a wooden church, built in 1796, in the village of Raguvėlė, Anykščiai district. The church belongs to the Diocese of Panevėžys and the Anykščiai Deanery. The church's architecture reflects forms of vernacular Classicism.
The church is first mentioned in 1784 as a chapel, where the Bernardines of Troškūnai held services. The owner of the Raguvėlė manor, Jurgis Komaras, built the present church in 1796, and a parish was established here in 1924. The interior of the church was painted in 1930.
