About the Church
The Church of St Joseph of the Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of Bethany (Betānijas Dominikāņu māsu kongregācijas Svētā Jāzepa) is a convent church in Riga's Bieriņi district, on the left bank of the Daugava. It belongs to the Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of Bethany and is dedicated in honour of St Joseph, patron of the Holy Family and intercessor of the universal Church.
As a convent church, it primarily serves the prayer and community needs of the sisters who live there, while also being a place of peace and spiritual recollection for the Catholics of the surrounding Riga neighbourhoods.
