About the Church
The Church of St Peter in Pēternieki (Pēternieku Svētā Pētera Romas katoļu baznīca) is a Roman Catholic church in the village of Pēternieki, in the Olaine area, on the Misa river, some 28 km from Riga.
The small church, with an adjoining cemetery, is a historic part of the village, which formed near the former Pētermuiža (Peterhof) manor. It belongs to the Vidzeme Deanery of the Archdiocese of Riga and serves a small local Catholic community.
The church remains to this day an important landmark of the area and a centre of spiritual life.
