About the Church
The Church of the Holy Family in Vecbebri (Vecbebru Svētās Ģimenes Romas katoļu baznīca) is a Roman Catholic church in the settlement of Vecbebri, in Bebri civil parish, Aizkraukle Municipality.
In 2000 the Catholic community of Bebri acquired, from a local vocational school, the building of the Vecbebri manor complex, which had stood abandoned for many years. After restoration, carried out by several construction companies, the church was solemnly opened and consecrated on 28 December, with Cardinal Jānis Pujāts in attendance.
The church is dedicated to the Holy Family. It belongs to the Vidzeme Deanery of the Riga Archdiocese and is a cosy place of prayer for the local Catholic community, in the park of the former manor.
