About the Church
The Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a wooden church, built in 1897 in the town of Tverai, beside the Rietavas–Varniai road. The church's interior has six altars. Tverai is renowned for the feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is celebrated in November and July. The church is considered an example of the Historicism style.
