About the Church

The Viešvėnai Church of the Holy Trinity, built in 1852, is a wooden church in Telšiai district, in Viešvėnai. It has Neo-Gothic features and is of vernacular architectural forms. The church has three altars, and the churchyard fence is of fieldstone masonry. The Rainiai and Stulpinai chapels operate within the parish. Interestingly, the church's separation from the Telšiai parish took many years, and a separate Viešvėnai parish was finally established only in 1924.
