About the Church
The Roman Catholic community of Bēne is a small community of the Diocese of Jelgava in the town of Bēne, in the Dobele area, near the border with Lithuania.
The parish belongs to the Dobele Deanery. The local Catholics form a small group of believers in this area of Semigallia with mostly Lutheran heritage; the community gathers for prayer and the main feasts of the liturgical year.
