About the Church
The Roman Catholic community of Zasa is active in the settlement of Zasa, in the Jēkabpils municipality, in the Selonia region. It belongs to the Jēkabpils Deanery of the Diocese of Jelgava.
A good number of Catholics live in Zasa, mostly descendants of settlers who moved there from Latgale. Since the community does not have a separate Catholic church building, services are held in the local Lutheran church; the faithful are served by priests of the Jēkabpils parish.
