About the Church
The Church of Christ the King in Ezere is located in the village of Ezere, in the Saldus municipality, in the south-eastern part of Courland, right on the border with Lithuania. It is a small, relatively young Catholic community.
Services began to be held in Ezere in 1996 — at first in the community hall, later in parish premises; in 1999 a Catholic chapel was blessed here, and in 2000 the parish of Christ the King of Ezere was registered. A red-brick building was adapted as a house of prayer, its acquisition supported by the German Catholic charity "Bonifatiuswerk" and the parishioners. The church serves the spiritual life of the local faithful.
