About the Church
The Church of the Crucified Christ in Nevarėnai is a wooden church, built in 1785 in the town of Nevarėnai, on the Mažeikiai–Telšiai road. Inside the church there are many old works of sacred art, and the choir loft houses an organ with relief carving and nail ornamentation. The church is in folk architectural forms and has an atypical cruciform plan. The churchyard fence is of stone masonry, and inside it stands a two-tier wooden bell tower.
