Viešvilės Kristaus Atsimainymo bažnyčia

"The Viešvilė Church of the Transfiguration of Christ is a Catholic church standing in Viešvilė, in the Tauragė Deanery, Jurbarkas district. The church was fitted out in 1863 and built of plastered masonry, and is also regarded as an exemplary example of vernacular architecture. Next to the church is a cemetery, and it is renowned for its Transfiguration of Christ feast (atlaidai). After the war, a bell from a collapsing Evangelical church was brought and hung in the church's tower. At present a Lourdes grotto stands in the churchyard, marking the 160th anniversary of the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Lourdes and the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the Lithuanian state."
