About the Church
The Roman Catholic community of Dundaga is in the small town of Dundaga in northern Courland, in the Talsi area. The community belongs to the Liepāja Diocese and serves a small number of Catholics from Dundaga and the surrounding settlements.
The faithful of Dundaga have no separate Catholic church – services are held in premises fitted out in the historic Dundaga Castle. The small community is part of the revived Catholic life of northern Courland, where after the Soviet era the faithful once again gathered around places of prayer served by clergy.
