About the Church
The Church of St Anne in Beresne (Roman Catholic) stands in the village of Beresne, in the Svariņi civil parish, the Krāslava municipality, Latgale. It belongs to the Diocese of Rēzekne–Aglona.
The church was built in 1805 as a small space and later enlarged; until 1924 it was a chapel of the Bukmuiža parish, and in 1924 it became the church of the independent Beresne parish.
It is a single-nave wooden church with a slate roof and a small turret above the entrance, about 22 metres long and 9 metres wide; it holds about 56 people.
