About the Church
The Church of Divine Providence in Dambava is a historical and architectural treasure worth visiting both for its past and for its particular beauty. The church stands in Dambava, a small village in Radviliškis district, where it holds a special place in the life of the local residents.
The first church on this site was built as early as 1804, funded by the manor owners, the Goštautai family. Unfortunately the church burned down in 1822, but only three years later, in 1825, the present church rose on the same foundations. The new church was built of stone masonry, a material that gave it durability and resistance to time.
The church is titled after Divine Providence, symbolising faith in God's care and protection. Even today, inside the church one can sense the peace and spirituality that have prevailed here for almost two centuries.
The small museum next to the church is also worth attention. It holds various religious artefacts and copies of historical documents, which offer a closer look at the history of the church and the local community.
