About the Church
Aleksotas St Casimir Church is a Catholic church in Kaunas, Lithuania. It was built in 1997 in a Modernist style and is constructed of concrete. The old wooden church still stands nearby. It was built on land donated in the early 20th century by local priests and has been a hub of parish activities ever since. Inside the modern church there are three slender columns and trapezoidal vaulted ceilings. The chancel is narrow and covered by a low hemispherical wooden structure. The church has three altars and houses relics of the Holy Cross and St Casimir. It also holds a painting of St Casimir by Sofija Rickevičiūtė.

Yra du statiniai – senoji bažnyčia liaudiško baroko stiliaus, stačiakampio plano, su apside, vienabokštė, ir nauja dabartinė modernistinė bažnyčia, pastatyta atgavus Nepriklausomybę, 1997 m.
