About the Church
Alvitas Church of St Anne is a historic church, built in the mid-19th century, between Virbalis and Vilkaviškis. It has been destroyed several times, but in recent years it has been rebuilt and was consecrated on 26 July 2020. The church had Gothic Revival, Neo-Renaissance and Neoclassical features and is single-naved. Construction began in 2009, and the foundations were blessed in 2018. In Lithuania it is known as a church of Vilkaviškis Deanery.
