About the Church
The Vilkaviškis Church of the Holy Cross is a Catholic church in Vilkaviškis, built in 1894 as an Orthodox church and handed over to Catholics in 1922. The renovation of the church was overseen by the priest Juozas Laukaitis, and later parish priest Konstantinas Ambrasas carried out an extension and installed heating. The church has a structure typical of Orthodox churches, with three altars, a tall nave space, and a bell tower above the porch.
