Bartninkų Šv. apaštalų Petro ir Povilo bažnyčia

Bartninkai Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul is a Classicist-style church built in 1945. The architect was the Italian Džiuzepė de Sakas. The church's old masonry version is a protected cultural heritage site, and the chapel belonging to it is used for various events. During restoration of the towers and walls, provision has been made for the possibility of rebuilding the authentic roof. In 1855 parish priest Jonas Burdulis-Burdulevičius began holding services in Lithuanian, and instructed the organist and sacristan to teach the almshouse residents to read in Lithuanian. From 1915 to 1931 the church's parish priest was the well-known book smuggler Juozas Šmulkštys.
