About the Church
The Roman Catholic community of Engure brought together Catholics in the town of Engure, on the coast of the Gulf of Riga, in the Tukums area.
This coastal parish of Courland belonged to the Diocese of Jelgava. The local Catholic community was small, and the independent parish of Engure and Mērsrags was dissolved in 2016. Engure is better known as a fishing town by a lake and the sea.
