About the Church
The Roman Catholic Church of St Bridget and St Catherine of Siena in Priedaine is a small shrine in the town of Krāslava, in the Priedaine microdistrict, in southeastern Latvia.
The parish was officially registered in 1997, and in 2000 it acquired the building of the former Priedaine club, which it decided to convert into a church. On 21 July 2002 Bishop Antonas Justas consecrated the shrine in honour of two patron saints of Europe – St Bridget and St Catherine of Siena.
The church is a masonry building with a small turret; the three-aisled interior is adorned with stained-glass windows created by the artist Nora Cēsniece.
