About the Church
The Roman Catholic Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Zemgalė is situated in the village of Zemgalė, in the Demenė civil parish, Augšdaugava municipality, right by the border with Lithuania. It belongs to the Diocese of Jelgava.
The church was set up in the building of the former Zemgalė manor and railway station, and was blessed in 2006. It serves a small Catholic community in the border area.
