About the Church
The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Žeimiai is a large church in the Gothic Revival style, built in 1906. Address: 45 Kauno Street, Žeimiai, Jonava district. The church's churchyard has three chapels, in which the Kosakovski and Nielovicki families were buried. The Juciūnai chapel operates within the parish. The church burned down in 1893, but was rebuilt after the First World War. The building was designed by engineer Vaclovas Michnevičius, and the stained-glass windows were created by Vladislovas Pšibitnevskis. The inside of the church has three aisles separated by piers. The church itself has an apse and two tall facade towers. The churchyard fence is of stone masonry, with three chapels built into it: two Classicist ones of white masonry and one Gothic Revival one of red brick.
