About the Church
The Gardamas Church of St Roch is a building of stone and brick masonry, built in 1932 in the small town of Gardamas, by the road from Švėkšna to Žemaičių Naumiestis. It has a rectangular plan, a single tower, and an apse. A clock is set into the church tower. It was built as a filial church of the parish of Žemaičių Naumiestis and was blessed on 25 September 1932. A chapel in Gardamas is mentioned in 1636 and 1688. Through the efforts of the Kvėdarna elder Pac, a church was built in 1706.
