About the Church
The organ installed in the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Žolinė) in Simnas used work by the Lithuanian master Jonas Garalevičius. The church was built in 1520 and is in the Renaissance architectural style. Inside are three naves with cylindrical and cross vaults. The building has a five-sided apse, two sacristies and two small towers. The church's history includes reconstructions and repair works, and during wars it suffered damage from fires and bombs.
