About the Church
The Vištytis Church of the Holy Trinity was built in 1829 and stands in Vilkaviškis district. The church has Classicist features, a double-cross plan, with an apse and a small tower. Records mention that a wooden church was built first, which was later replaced by a masonry church. During the Second World War the church was damaged, but it was rebuilt after the war. The church housed a parish school and a branch of the "Žiburys" society.
