About the Church
The Margininkai Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a wooden church built before 1871. It is of vernacular architectural form and stands in Margininkai, 16 km southeast of Kaunas. The church has a three-sided apse, a side sacristy and a small tower, and a wooden bell tower stands in the churchyard. There was previously a wooden chapel here, and a parish has operated here since 1924.
